I wouldn't trust the JW couple with a goldfish, let alone a child.
• "if they would consider a child of about 7 or 8 years, they would get one almost immediately." Why not wait on Jehovah?
Anyway, the majority of children for adoption in the U.S. are older, negating the need for overseas adoption.
• I wanna know how the little Vietnamese boy, upon landing in California, spoke fluent English? It's not like the parents had
been feverishly studying Vietnamese in preparation for his arrival; they had already decided to regular pioneer, waiting until
the New System to have children.
• "The agency pleaded with them not to cancel." Does anyone see that their decision to cancel is no different than having
an abortion? Is that what the Society would encourage with a biological child?
I think not. Thank goodness this is fictional!
