Welcome Lurker! Great name. A former elder and pioneer here. I understand your dilemma.
Your comment about studying the Revelation book once again brought a smile to my lips. My ex-wife is still an active JW. There is an older sister in my former congregation, in her 90s and been around and outspoken forever. My ex said that when they announced they were studying the book yet again, she said outloud for all to hear, "My god, what are we studying that thing for again!"
I see you share the sentiment. Good to have you here. Come and vent.
