If this is the only means by which the one who sustained injury can get the compensation
provided by the insurance, it would not be improper

That settles it. If I ever get hurt at the Kingdom Hall, I will sue their "self" insurance if I don't
feel that I am being compensated properly. Let's see, one broken finger, x-rays, follow up
visits to the doctor, and 20 years of mental anguish. That comes to 14 million dollars.

Did anyone see the Judge Mathis episode on January 16th, where a JW was on sueing her former bible study for return of a security deposit? She told the story how they met looking in a shoe store window, and the discussion turned to the bible when she offered the woman a free home bible study. Judge Mathis asked what religion that was. She didn't want to say, since she didn't want to "bring reproach on the religions name", being that they don't "make it a habit to sue people". The former bible study had no problem calling her out though.

My ex-wife sued me because I bought her three brand new homes and never made her pay one thing and she didn't have to work as she pioneered in Luxery Sedans, had over $25,000 worth of jewerly on her hands. Cheated on me and I forgave her, kept it quiet and never had her dealt with judicially or public. Became an elder, MS, and regular pioneer for her own glory as she loved the attention of an elders wife. Took her on nice Caribbean vacations, divorced me on "spiritual endangerment" , after 20 years and left her 16 year old daughter, got both of us DF'd, walked with over 60%, didnt want to pay child support of $50/week for only 18 months. And was completely exonerated in the eyes of men/congregation.

Two other brothers got the same deal and the one wife likewise abandoned her family and two daughters and husband and sued the one brother lost to his wife and she won $500,000

The other brother didn't make out at $750,000 to ex wife who abandoned her children and him, Nope their wives didn't work either as pioneer sisters.

Cant sue your brothers, what come on, SSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it never happens.

Simple. Since the WTS owns the note, they can just sell the hall and disband the congregation and make them travel elsewhere

So, they travel elsewhere and do the same.

If a congregation refused to repay KH loans, I think the Society would consider it a Bonham-TX-style rebellion and DF some or all of the elder body (and whoever else) and then the replacements (probably from outside) would straighten it out.

It would be more interesting though if it wasn't the elder body that refused to pay the loans but the congregation, ala, the "vote" that occurs with such matters. Just once it would be great to see the congregation not go along with a "motion" put forward by the elders.

The one and only time I ever saw any significant dissent was a vote over spending money for a computer for the congregation's use. The congregation was split half & half, with those who knew they would never use the thing voting "no." The motion passed but what was funny is that the computer never appeared. A year or two afterwards I asked an Elder about where the computer was or what happened to that matter and he had forgotten about it but also wondered "What did ever become of that?"

    Auldsoul,

What would happen if a congregation or two decided not to pay back their Kingdom Hall loans? I thought there was three elders who were appointed as trustees, if the congregation did not pay, I thought it fell on these three elders to pay I'm thinking more of the puchase of a Kingdom hall. KT
