When I think back, I loved being a cocktail waitress.

All I had to do is put on a short skirt prance around like I knew what I was doing and get paid for it. Tips were good too!

Dreadful job? I think it had to be when I was the assistant manager at "The Buckle." The money was good, since I had many of the rich clients wanting me to service them(I made commission/remuneration), but the hours were long(70/80 a week). The drive sucked since it was 45 minutes 1 way. Plus, I hated my boss and he hated me. When I left(due to pregnancy) the store had to move to a smaller location because the profits went down. Suckers! To this day, when I walk in to my old District Managers store, we glare at each other, but I love my Lucky jeans and I'll keep buying them.

    What was your favorite/dreadful job?

    Jobs I liked was:

Anthing that paid well...lol Like when I worked in paper mills. The salaries started at about 20 bucks an hour. I had a seasonal job there so I had more than enough money and when I was layed off 4 months a year, I had big unemplyement insurance checks. But the mill closed a few years later . I guess Jah didn't bless me.

Jobs that I hated: Low salary hard heavy work in a warehouse lifting heavy boxes all day long.....yuck...and was treated like shit, never doing enough and not fast enough....

Worst Job: When I was really young and before I began my predestined job as an apprentice joiner, I had to work in a chicken factory (where they slaughtered chickens on one site and cooked them on another). My job was to work on the production line and ensure meat went into the machine properly (YAWN) - apparently if I had played my cards right I couldve been a supervisor by now and be earning just over minimum wage!! I was treated like shit by fuckwit supervisors who had no brain cells between them and who also didnt like my outspoken manner too much. Needless to say I didnt last long and was entirely relieved to start my apprenticeship.

Best Job: Its the job I do now. I was ill suited to the construction industry and could always work better with my brain rather than my hands - but you know what it is like when you are a dub, they have a vested interest in ensuring you do not live upto your capabilities and I suffered two years in the cold and wet doing a job I simply was no good at.

I always was interested in the law and when I left the dubs I began to pursue the law as my career; I work in litigation (which suits my outspoken personality) and I specialise in resolving employment disputes with a particular emphasis on discrimination. I am extremely proud of my work and enjoy every aspect.

Hey Brook...where did you cocktail waitress? I was one too at the Riverside Casino in Laughlin NV. It was OK...but the wemon were very catty and I had to work all the less desirable shifts.

I have also bartended during the day at a cool little bar. That was really fun while it lasted.....Great tips and lots of regulars. Plus, during the day you didn't have to deal with drunks.

Then the last job I had was at a 401k call center. That was the most fulfilling because I got to learn about retirement plans (which I had no idea about before due to never concidering it)and I was able to really help people.

Now I am a stay at home mom...the best job ever!!

    All my jobs were dreadful!

The worst was working at figis cheese company. Stood in an assembly line, buckets flying by on a belt, and throwing packages in the buckets as fast as i could!

Denny's resturaunt wasnt bad. Made really good tips there too! (unlike you brooke, I had to wear an ugly green skirt below the knee!)

Had my cleaning service in FL. Made great money, but how long can you take scrubbing the pooh off other peoples toilets?

Best Job - when I was 12 and wasnt at school for the 2nd year running but got a job walking a dalmation across the fields for two teachers at lunchtimes. The freedom and company was lovely!

Second Best Job - being a nanny.

Worst Job - every job I ever did after the above that involved trapped at a desk with glazed over eyes for 8 hrs a day.

Hey Brook...where did you cocktail waitress?

I was a cocktail waitress at a local bar and restaurant. All local people and many business men(lol). I was the top cocktail waitress because all the customers with money I had to handle(they asked for me). My boss said I had special talents....lol. During the winter months, I would come home with $400 in cash - not to shabby for a 18 year old. When my old boss sold the bar to his nephews, business wasn't the same - so I quit.

Butt - I was told to wear shorter skirts. When I wore dress pants, I was pulled to the side and asked to change.

Favorite job: Massage Therapist I really loved this work. It is so fullfilling. Not a lot of money in it where I live but that didn't really matter to me.

Dreadful job: Where do I begin? Well it's hard to say for ceratin becuase I had some really @hitty jobs. However my current job is so emtionally draining. As my other jobs were hard work and little pay. So I'd say it's my current job that's the worst. I mean I make pretty good money but I am surrounded by JW's and it is making the fading process difficult. Plus it's all family and the bs we all go through is just not worth any amount of money.

My hubbie and I are slowly reducing are debt so we can both do what we love to do. It's only a matter of time and we will be free from this place! I can't wait!!!

I HATED the few sedentary office jobs I had. I can't stand being in a cubicle. I hated office politics. YUK! Even now, the thought of being in a cubicle makes me feel too closed in.

My favorite job was working in the Health and Human Services Department WIC Program. I was in charge of helping low- income women with young children fill out forms to see if they qualified for healthy food subsidies. I liked talking to people and helping children stay healthy. That was a great experience.
