Back when I started out in property management I had to work my way up, starting with being a leasing rep. I had a love/hate relationship with that job. There were a lot of tediouis tasks that I had to do everyday but there were so many comical moments as well that made all it worthwhile. Also I met 2 of my best friends in the whole world while I was working there.

My worst job was working as a receptionist for an evangelical. He was raking in millions claiming it was all due to gods will. He said a prayer every morning and before every staff meeting. Besides the above there wasn't enough work for me to do. I was suppose to just sit there and look pretty. I developed terrible stomach problems. Everyone in the office went to his church or was involved somehow. I finally walked out.

The best job I ever had was working for the U.S. Census Bureau. Didn't have to answer to anyone, was given territories of non-compliers and went door to door getting people to fill out the long forms. Guess my JW upbringing really paid off there!

I had no fear, and really enjoyed helping people. Usually in very poor/bad neighborhoods, ... the people were just frightened of the forms or didn't understand. I met so many wonderful families, heard their life stories etc., turned in my time sheets and made good money. I was considered one of their top performers so was asked to stay on long after the census was over and handle the real toughies.

    Kind of ironic isn't it?

Worst Job: Overnight Stocking at Target; This was just last year. I did it for over 6 months and got fed up with being so tired the next day even though it was only 4 hours of work a night. About a hour and 45 minutes offloading stock from a truck, grabbing boxes (some of it so heavy 2 or 3 people had to do it) off a moving line and stacking them on pallets that were to be moved to the sales floor to stock. After doing that, stocking merchandise onto shelves. Job didn't call for much mental work but that first part was back breaking. And all for only $7.25 an hour. When I quit one of the managers had the nerve to ask if I had found something better.

Best Job: Working for Levi's doing what I do best (grading). It was a great job a, the pay was good and I got in just before the company started doing cost containment (layoffs and cutting out the nicities like the company holiday party). I took that job for granted. And I'm hoping that I can find another in my field. Things are moving along, I got two calls yesterday about the job I want. Cross your fingers.

My best job was working as a makeup artist. I did it until I had my first girl. I absolutely love it, it is my passion, but the hours are not good for Mommies.

My worst job was my first, I loved the people but hated the job as a dishwasher...it was so gross.
