If God told me to kill, like he did in the past, I guess I could

    Otherwise, no.

Sounds like the reasoning of the terrorist to me.

After thinking about it, I think I could be just as happy with a doll, or two, and some pins!!!!!!!! MUAH!!!!!

Remember those commercials where the ex-girlfriend messed with her ex when he was dancing with someone else. And there was another one, too!!

    Absolutely.

If I could kill and not suffer consequences, i.e. if I wouldn't get caught and put in jail, I would.

However, it would be inline with a personal theory that I have constructed. I have never read anything like my theory and I base it simply on my observation of people and my experiences in life. I will be the first to admit that that doesn't mean it is correct. Whether it means I am a psychopath, or whatever is irrelevant; it is what I believe.

    I call it the 5, 90, and 5 theory.

It is a scale, starting at 1 and ending at 100. There is a lower 5, then 90, and finally an upper 5.

    It works like this

90% of humans generally fall into a sort of neutral ground. They just get on with their lives, and don't really do much harm or help to the world. They're fine in general, but they have no lasting impact on the world. Everyone of the 90% could die tomorrow, and the balance of "good vs. evil", "nice vs. not nice", etc. would not be upset. There are certainly those that tend towards the outside of the 90% on both ends of the good vs. evil spectrum (or moral vs. immoral, thoughtful vs. careless, honest vs. dishonest, etc. or whatever you want to call it), but on the whole they just exist. These people do have at least some redeeming qualities. Those that tend toward the upper end of the scale have many redeeming qualities.

Then there are the upper 5. The 5% that you can classify without a doubt that their existence in this world is a good thing. I know a few people like this, and I very much enjoy being in their presence.

Then you have the lower 5. The 5% that you can classify without a doubt as being bad that they are alive. They just do so much grief to the world that they break over from being barely in the 90% to being in the lower 5%. Hitler comes to mind. He would be a "1" on the scale. Osama bin Laden is about a "2", and so on. I have a brother that makes everybody in contact with him miserable. It is intolerable to be around him, and potentially dangerous. He truely and actually contributes nothing good to this world. Just the opposite. There are no redeeming values that can be pointed to in his life. He is about a "5" on the scale. Just nasty enough that his being dead could be said to be a good thing.

If I could just say the word, and everybody in the lower 5 would die - I would. The world would be a happier, better place. Suffering would be less.

On days when I am feeling particularly ungenerous, the theory is more like 5, 85, and 10.

Now I expect that everybody on the board gets a new excuse to hate me for being judgemental or whatever. I really don't care too much. When I was in the borg I used to try to please people. I get to have my own mind now.

And no, for those who might wonder, I don't think I'm in the upper 5.

I once wished my ex's teeth would fall out (he disappeared in the middle of some extensive dentistry work). Then I started having my own dental issues and mentally took it back. If I can't wish a lost tooth on a person, I doubt I could kill one!

I prayed from the bottom of my heart, in the emotional depths of the most extreme agony that I have ever experienced, that Jehovah would kill Jay (you know who I mean).

I could easily repeat that prayer now, if I thought anyone was listening.

That's exactly what I thought after I wrote that.

Well now...probably not! But it's a very good thing that it's not possible. Of course, if I had that power, others would have it too, and who's to say someone wouldn't will me dead before I could do it to someone else??

Definite population control, that little trick.

Besides, I personally feel that death is useless as a punishment. Living is the best punishment for anyone. But at least if someone is dead, they can't hurt anyone else, that's true.
