it's all about the intention that you can feel (before or when you are kissed)
the neck is very sensitive, also just skim the corner of the mouth can be magic, a kiss on a closed eye either ...

If the kiss sparks interest in something else, it can be fun. Otherwise, I think kissing gets a little pushed to the side when sex comes into your relationship.

The kiss thats so good that it must take you farther is a wonderous thing. But kissing just to enjoy the kissing-and knowing thats all thats gonna happen (now) is just as great-differently.

My 6 year old putting his fat little hands on my cheeks and coming in for a big kiss on my lips-thats a pretty great kiss also. From the right person-a kiss is an unspoken "i love you".

I think if you analyse kissing too much it can become too mechanical. There is sometimes just a natural chemstry between people that is inexplicable. Did you ever kiss someone that you found really attractive and found no chemistry? If there is true chemistry involved, how you kiss, will not be something you give much thought too. The libido will take over. mmmmm chocolate!!!
