Then, at 2:30 in the morning, I woke up from a dead sleep, and sat up. I realized I had spelled my own name wrong on the form!!!! My middle name is Leigh. For some reason I put Lee on the form. AM I GOING CRAZY?!!!

Can you imagine the embarrassment when I called the stationary place and told them to change the spelling of my name because I spelled it wrong??!!

Ummm, you waited until morning before calling, right? But look on the bright side, at least you did fix the mistake. What if you hadn't caught it until they were printed, or even mailed?

Don't worry, I coordinated my daughter's wedding this summer, so I totally understand what you are going through...it can get kind of crazy at times, like when I forgot to set the reception tables with salad forks, and everyone had to reuse their forks for the main meal--so much for a classy affair! I was mortified!

Make lists, lists and more lists!

Oh, and if you would like any suggestions, I have a ton of them: What I learned from my mistakes...

Since my parents won't come (Mom sent me an e-mail saying she couldn't since I'm DAed), I didn't put their names on the invitation. Do you think that was the right thing to do? ... I wonder what they will think when I mail them one.

If they are not helping to host and/or pay, their names should NOT be on the invites, according to wedding etiquette.

But aside from that, do what makes you feel comfortable. Do what YOU want. Don't put their names on their because you think they might be hurt. But do put them on there if it will cause you more sleepless nights. I planned a wedding, but didn't go through with it.... I read a bunch of books/manuals/etc.

What wording did you use? This is your second marriage, right? So usually the invites are from the people who are hosting the celebration--that would be you and your fiance.
