Haha, too funny! I remember that commercial. I love those little m and m guys. It makes it rather difficult to eat the yellow ones

Thanks BSoM, Hearing more comments like that from the dubs just makes me see how silly they are and has the opposite effect they want, it helps to strengthen my resolve to stay the hell away. (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))) free2think

has the opposite effect they want

    yeah, I know the feeling.

I can't tell you how many times after getting shunned I would think, "How is this supposed to make we Want to return?"

I kick myself so often for ever treating others like that!

Same here. I always thought it should be the opposite. When someone is weak, and falls short, isnt that the time they need the most encouragement? Wouldnt they keep their sheep inside the fence, if they showed love and forgiveness?

Or at the very least, show that inside the KH! Why not talk to the dfed ones at the hall? Are they worried you are going to whisper sweet nothings apostates in their ear when nobody is looking? grrr

How JWs think they get a ticket on the boat:

    1) get baptized

    2) attend some meetings (just enough to stay under the radar)

    3) turn in at least 1 hour a month (doesn't have to be real time)

    4) don't get caught doing anything you can be df'd for

    5) only criticize the WTS to the "right" people

It's all a game to appear righteous to the men in charge. It is important to be "clean" on the outside and it doesn't matter in the inside is full of crap.

I know and they feel so superior when they say these things but they don't realise how crazy it sounds and how unnatural it is to 'shun' someone who the week before they are supposed to hsve loved and would even 'die' for. At the moment my sister-in-law, a dub, is really ill with some kind of infection. She can barely walk or look after her baby but went on the ministry with a pioneer and tried to get me to look after her baby for a few hours, even though I'm still trying to recover from my surgery. If it was something important of course I would but what she's doing is crazy. And not a neccessary activity although she can't see that.

dfn: Dub: one of Jehovah's Witnesses, as in Jay Dubble You

When the Jws brought up the ark, I got them sidetracked into a discussion of the flood, creation, etc. They didn't even have a chance to tell me I was not in the ark. No wonder no one wants to come and study with us.

You could tell him you're giving up your seat on the boat to someone who really needs it!
