I think this was the book I questioned some of it’s material with an elder.
His comment when cornered, was it’s all old hat that book is over 10 years old , it’s old stuff now.
My comment at the time was, "1914 is older than 10 years, is that old hat as well".???

The JWs I know think it's wonderful that the book is being studied again. Faith strengthening to see how everything fits together like a jigsaw and it's so obvious that the end is near. Even the changes are seen positively - it's a sign that the FDS is on the ball and keeping up with "current" truth.
Personally, I think it's being covered again because they've run out of books to study - it was cheaper than printing a completely new publication.
Maybe the GB members are getting tired or the inspiration isn't flowing like it used to. Can you imagine the effort involved in writing a new book and then making sure that every comment is in harmony with other recent interpretations.

The father & god of the watchtower society S"atan" wants them to stay focused on the lie. Thus he changes their teachings and interpretations daily.. If left is right and wrong is right and bad is right what is left?
Yes this is the fourth time -
1st time April 17th 1989,
2nd time started March 19th 1991,
3rd time started 4th October 1994.
The main reason they are studying it again is because the position of "Chief Seer" is still open since Fred Franz's death.
The future was always in the mind of this strange little man.
Rutheford depended on this man after his own brain became pickled. Knorr was an workaholic so he left the "imaginative stuff" to FF.
The second reason is I believe the Governing Body really do believe the end is near. No tricks. They believe their interpretation will be vindicated in the near future quite possibly while studying this book.
So many witnesses say they see all these things coming together. I personally can't recall a single prophecy that they have gotten right. What have they predicted for some future date has been unambiguously fullfilled? The only thing they can come up with is some resolutions, assemblies, getting thrown in jail, getting released from jail. Oh! That's right these were figured out after the fact. That's their escape clause.
JW's are studying the "Revelation Climax" book for the 4th time. Why?
The same reason we usually 'studied' a book. Over-inventory on the shelves in the congregations and Brooklyn. Simple as that. It is all about moving stock. That is why they did not 'update' the book, but instead provided all the changes in a KM. They didn't want any more cost in it - just needed to get rid of it. $$$$$
I suspect they will have another 'apocalyptic' reference that names the WTS as involved in every prophecy mentioned before too long. They wanted this one out of the way first. They didn't want it out in the FS - since it is so rife with 'old light' - but knew it would mold if a newer volume was available.
About every 20 years they come up with a new 'Revelation' explanation to erase all the past wrong dates/times. I suspect the new one will be released in 2008 or 2009.
I have to wonder who the new 'oracle' is though - now that Freddy is soul-sleeping.

The new oracle? Why it's heavenly Fred Franz the Glorious. He is still pulling strings from his throne right next to Russell, Rutheford & Knorr. (According to the Revelation book)
Oh - that's right, Freddy is UP THERE now.
Forgot. Still there needs to be an earthly link. Is Johannes Greber still alive?
