The paradise book scared the crap outta me as a kid too!!
Wuss! hehe - I think thats where my love of violent horror movies originates. There's nothing so scary that they can make on film as fiction as the stories I was weaned on. My parents and the dubs did that. It didnt say spicey foods - I thought it said certain rich foods at night. I spent my whole youth wondering what those rich foods were and experimenting to find out. I'm still not convinced certain foods genuinely make me hornier than others though. Mia - sorry you missed out at Cardiff! I thought all the DCs did the same. So is you bro still dfed- is he on the board?

I detested the girly pink Great Teacher book more than YY, but YY was a close second. I didn't get enough of YPA to hate it as much as those two books.
YY really screwed me up when it came to sex. There were no diagrams, so I figured that the male was just supposed to put his manbeef between the girl's legs like in a standing position without actually putting it "inside" her. I remember when I saw my first porno movie and saw how it was actually done. I thought, "is that the way it works, or is that the wrong way? Ewwww! It actually goes inside?"
My mother read the masturbation / homosexuality chapter with me many times. She was always scared that I was turning gay.
She also got a "mature" teenage brother to study that damn book with me. I now feel sorry for the poor guy. I remember him telling me "not even one rub".

What I dread is that I struggled to follow it. Bending my brain around its rules and regs and trying to reconcile them with the other rules and regs in the WT/Awake and other drivel they published.
