A friend told me of a proverb that he found ( there were alot of false stories going through the congregation about him) and I also found to be very true.
"A person who slings mud is losing ground."
But my friend later added to this proverb some years later (after the truth was found out),
"Once the person has dug a hole with the mud that he has thrown at you, you then bury him with with his own mud!"
