elves of the tolkien bent.
their relationship to trees (nature and the fractal tree-like structure of nature) are inspiring to me. they did not "own". they were stewards of the trees and respected their sacredness.
and of course, the fact that we find personal representation in mythical creatures (favorites) speaks volumes about us and the creatures themselves.
the elves represent a tenuous harmony with nature that we must strive to strike.

I don't remember his name but I was always facinated by the guy in the toilet bowl in a rowboat.
The special effects were awesome when you saw him row around in a small boat and yet it appeared to be a regular toilet.
