"Kid-A I thought we were the Aspartates? By the way, is your avatar a young Paul McCartney?"

    LOL....nope, we're "Splenda"......(and splendid!)

That is a very young Paul McCartney, my last avatar was George Harrison so I am going through all the beatles in this series....next will be Ringo or John....(or Stu Sutcliffe? LOL)

    cant decide!

I liken the JWs to the "Aspartate Religion" : artificial sweetness with carcinogenic properties....

Kid-A, that's a great one! I'm gonna hafta remember that one.

What worries me more about what they're doing to food is all the "growth hormones" added to the feed of the still living, though headed for our table, meat, whether chicken or beef or etc.

Also the additives they're putting in milk now.

And the biological tinkering they're doing to vegetables to increase their crops.

Yes, MSG is very bad when eaten too frequently. I didn't realize this until we all started getting headaches with a few minutes after eating a meal loaded with MSG. I cut down my use of MSG loaded food products to once a week and stopped the headaches.

Juni and sirnose jelly bellies may be nice but they also secure a lot of work for the dentists. Something sugary that stays in the mouth for hours is damning for the teeth. And should we accept an artificial taste as genuine?

HELL YEAH! ENJOY LIFE! COULD GET HIT BY A TRUCK TOMORROW.

How about the fake grill marks added to Burger King patties, that's a good example.

I still have a bag of Walkers' Pickled Onion "flavour" Monster Munch crisps in my cupboard that I never got around to eating yet. I looked at the ingredients and the "pickled onion flavour" consists of lactose, rusk, monosodium glutamate, and disodium 5'-ribonucleotide. Yum!!!!

Frannie, there is an enormous deal of manipulation of our food going on all with the aim to increase profits for the manufacturers eg hormones increase meat production in cows and also their milk. It means better profits. Fortunately in Europe they can't use hormones to augment meat weight in cows and they won't even allow in American beef for this reason.

Leolaia, though I prefer corn based snacks over potato based ones I don't like pickled onion monster munch, I prefer Walkers frazzles (crispy bacon flavour) and cheese quavers. Mind you they also contain all these funny ingredients and quite a variety of them. They are nothing like home made snacks.

Juni so enjoy life, why not.

Yall're lucky, Greendawn. I wish they'd stop 'em from doing that here. I OINK from all the extra "growth" hormones I've consumed.
