Actually the real problem is that the elders are not being obedient. How can the WTS make the rank and file obey when they see the elders and their families disobeying.

I have seen about 7 or 8 long-time elders removed in the last few years because they would not toe the FDS' unloving line.

You've got 3 generations all living now that are reaping the repercussions of listening to these arrogant assholes: 1) Those born around 1914 or shortly afterwards. Most have already died, but there are those still around who must be prepared to die, even though they were told they never would;

Those in their 80's have waited and will never see Armageddon.We have an Elder who has served since 1967 and his days are coming to an end.

2) Those born around WWII who were told not to pay into any pension plans or save any money for retirement, and who must now work 2 or 3 jobs to survive and

How many became janitors,window washers and sold their businesses because the end was coming.

3) Baby boomers, who were told not to get an education or make anything of yourself, because The End would be here in 1975. The 4th generation are those young enough where they can still save, buy a house, get an eduation, if they're smart enough to see through the lies.

The 4th generation are smarter than their family members.They turn 18 and leave the organization.They see right thru the bull crap.I don't see them retaining the youth any longer.The lies of the FDS finally caught up to them.

I've said it before, the "OBEY US OR DIE" line is becoming shrill and more and more people are taking note of how shrill it is. People

are waking up, I know, I am one of them. Look at all the ex-JW's here and other boards, all the former elders, Bethelites, CO's, right here!

I agree with your whole post 200%. As time goes on these people are deifying themselves more and more (wow, what a sin of pride)! When I was active there some years back I got tired of hearing how they were elevating the elders with their line about them being "appointed by holy spirit". What crap! It is true they hardly make mention of Jesus. They almost treat him like he was disfellowshipped. The sad part is that even if they usurped god's authority, the stupid rank and file JWs would still be sitting there and eating it all up.
