On another forum, I have made 357 posts in 4 years, there I go for quality vers quantity.

Here I have made over 100 posts in 48 days, here I go for quantity vers quality.

I have to get up there with the big guys.

A related point, along the lines of what jgnat said: how many times do you go to the "Stats"? (Now, 'fess up! )

    J-ex-W190
    nvrgnbk165
    MsMcDucket160
    Frannie Banannie156
    greendawn139
    Abandoned139
    Brother Apostate118
    Tyrone van leyen106
    onacruse86
    Junction-Guy85

Now, near the "bottom" of the list is where I like to try to be.

And with posters like Narkissos: I read an article in the paper yesterday about "information overload." It used a term I'd never heard before: exabytes.

What was that Scripture in Daniel, about people running to-and-fro?

Of course, 3-month statistics provide quite a different picture:

    AliasCountGraph
    Abandoned1,226
    avidbiblereader1,137
    J-ex-W1,042
    MsMcDucket1,002
    blondie970
    OnTheWayOut968
    LittleToe928
    RAF888
    compound complex882

I am not interested in the number of posts, but the time onboard.
I value insight from long-time ex-JW's. But the newbies have much
    to offer, sometimes.

I feel that I post too much, but I need this outlet, now. I noticed that
many long-time members never had that same need, or they tapered
off. I hope to taper off- later.

    Hello ona,

Is there message in there for me to shut up for a little while?

If so, I'm a big boy. I can take it. Just let me know if and when I may return because I'm really enjoying being here and would surely miss it. Keep in mind, due to cult-exiting issues, I read here appreciatively for years and am just now ready to post. In other words, I've got alot to get off my chest. I have tremendous respect for you and the other supreme ones and am sure that you've contributed in some way to my healing. I post alot because:

    1. I love people.

    2. I know there may be lurkers(from personal experience)with whom something I post may resonate.

    3. I felt like it was time to give something back.

If you or someone else busted me checking out the stats periodically it's cause I'm getting a big kick out of this whole experience.

With nothing but the most genuine love and respect,

    Nvrgnbk

nvrgnbk, no way! I just copied and pasted that screen shot, and that you happened to have been fairly prolific lately was nothing more than a mere coincidence.

In fact, on the other thread about voting, you were the one who remembered that article from the 1998 Watchtower; I just did a simple c/p...and yet some of the posters seem to have missed that, and have reacted like it was "my" find.

See what I mean? I've got a lot of posts, you've got less, and so who gets the "credit"? I certainly don't mean any disrespect to anyone, but I think it sorta proves my point.

Shamefully I admit I am not an intellectual like many here. I do get intimidated by that and some peoples knowledge of the bible. I never look at the number of posts or status. I did see newbie once and I was reminded that is considered as bad as racial slur where I work because we hire summer help. We call them Temps.
