  As to where you highlighted before (in red), well I can't see that the statement is incorrect by mistake. Arent the dubs led to believe that the borg reveiws all article before theyre published PLUS does all the research so that the dub doesn't need to look at any other sources. Whoever wrote the article and the people who reviewed it would know damn well that 1914 was predicted as THE END and not THE START.

  The literature published by the Watch Tower Society is published in the name of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society. Regardless of who may write certain articles, they are checked carefully by members of the governing body before they are published; so they are properly viewed as coming from the Society.

  I don't think that the Watchtower and its leaders like Russell and Rutherford deliberately lied. They probably believed what they printed was true. However, it is encumbered upon anyone who makes a mistake (particularly if it has misled others) to apologize and ask forgiveness. And this is where the leadership of the Watchtower has failed miserably! Worse still is the cover-up that follows the mistake. It shows a questionable intent.

  One of the few religious leaders to apologize to his followers was William Miller after the failure of his predictions. It's too bad that others who took his mantle did not do the same.

  You can find another lie if you look at the box at the top of the scanned page. There they say that 606 was moved to 607 because of progressing light or something. Just look up the reference in the footnote and you will see that there was no valid reason to move 606 to 607. The only reason was because there was an error in there calculation that needed to be fixed, so they adjusted there view of history instead of admitting the calculation was wrong.

  Good find. That is not an untruth it is an outright lie. Things were so catestrophic prior to 1914 that the Watchtower had the following statment:

  Watchtower 1894 July 15 p.224 it said “… our readers are writing to know if there may not be a mistake in the 1914 date. They do not see how present conditions can hold out so long under the strain.”

  I cant find the quotes at the moment, but it is also a lie about 606. Russell knew about the error in 606/607 prior to 1914, and so was not sure whether the end would come in 1914 or 1915. There was conflict in the magazines as sometimes it stated 1915 and sometimes 1914. After 1914 the magazines for the next 12 months used the date 1915 consistently.
