Dont' like them at all and wouldn't go to one myself...the male version that is. It's a mutual respect between my husband and myself. Actually, it isn't even an issue.
If he wants to see some pole dancing, I'll slam a few drinks and do it myself. lol
I thought it was very sad, the women weren't pretty, just young and kind of flabby looking, the men all looked lonely, everyone there in his/her own little world. They weren't very good dancers, either and it didn't look as if anyone was having a good time.
Hate to tell ya this, chere, but you didn't go to a first class strip club. No wonder you thought it was sad.
I have worked in the clubs, It not only paid the bills, but it afforded me and my children money for things we couldn't have gotten on my other income. I was working two jobs...one had the excellent insurance and benefits...the other the excellent money.
I have been in the clubs as a patron both with my husband and with out him. I would not care if he wanted to go...he has no interest. I didn't meet my husband in the clubs, I met him at my day job.
What I wouldn't put up with, is if my husband spent money that was needed for the family on any selfish desire that was for only him.... or if he turned in to a drunk or became abusive.

That being said, I think they're great places for rejectable men and sorrowful women who have nothing to offer in this world. To each his own; even lowlifes need to make a living off each other and it's perfectly legal to do so.

I've met some wonderful men and women, employees and customers. I am still friends with many people I knew from my years at the clubs. None of them are loosers or lowlifes...and we all have much to offer this world.
One of my very favorite things about this job....was I could ask any questions I wanted. Anything!!! You name it, I could find someone that wanted to talk about it. I learned more at this job then I did all of my other jobs put together. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/130455/1.ashx

I don't mind if I go with him, but I get to go here (www.club281.ca) without him .
Not for us. I always said my hubby CAN go if he wants to, but then I get to go to a MALE strip club too. He said he never wants to go
no it wouldn't bother me I'll go with him
after all we're going home together
I used to go to strip clubs a fair bit when I was younger. It got to the point where the dancers were little more than background entertainmnet. Few dancers could hold my attention for very long - the most notable exception was a dancer they called "Hot Tamale" who did interesting things with fire on stage. I stopped going to strip clubs when lap dancing became popular. I like to have a quiet beer without girls coming up to me every 10 minutes asking me if I want a lap dance, or their company while I'm having my beer.

From a male perspective: I don't think strip clubs are evil. My GF likes to go with me too. The truth is it's a ripoff! It's all about taking your $$$. But if I want to splurge a little, I do. But I know guys that are "in love" with some of these chicas. Like porn, (to me), it can be quite harmless unless done in moderation (as the scriptures say).
