That's even generous considering they believe the anointing ended in 1935 because people stopped eating and drinking but we do know for a fact that they didn't identify the great crowd since most from that erra are dead . Actually in the first century a truelly anointed one was identified by accurate profesy not a history of false predictions and then changing things to invisible fullfillment. Regardless since Revelation specifically mentions the end not happening until the last of the remnant is killed by the ax then we couldn't be as close as they are now saying we are .I thought they also believed the great tribulation started in WW1 or abouts .

I am of the annointed, and feel I have gods guiding holly spirit in my life, for anyone, or religion, to say they know how many there are at any given time puts them selfs in a bad light in Jehovahs eyes, for he him self only knows the heart as to if one has held onn to the course Jehovah directed him to and he accepted namly his right to human life here. Jehovah knows who are his children, he chooses according his good pleasure and not for any other reason, and does as he wishs inn this regard.

The present day original Bible Students, do not reproch someone for claiming to be of the little flock, where as the Jehovahs Witness's do, by saying all have ben chosen, and other such dogmatic statments such as stating that not all all who have ever died will rise in the resurection

That's weird, my mother told me that she spoke to my uncle who is an elder. And he told her that there are 169 annointed left.

I'm wondering if that 800 was actually a typo that became misinformation passed on, considering that the number usually hovers right around 8000.

I wonder how many of the rank and file even notice the official count and the change over the years. While the WTS prints the previous year's number of average publishers they do not do the same with the anointed count. A JW would have to go back and look it up. That is one increase the don't publicize in the stats study article.
