I just want to add the hurt part of all this is the hard work and time and energy I put into the postion. I did not have a supervisor for the first 8 months I worked there.......never took a day off during that time. I had to beg to get a supervisor .....as that was the only way to get a raise. I had a few handwritten notes when I started to now we actually have a job description and written out duties and layout of the job, which was all prompted by me.

It is time for me to move on...........just going to be a bit bumpy before it gets smooth again.

    Purps,

Sorry to hear that, there is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better, except offer you job!!!! (hope that made you chuckle)

Anyway, I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason, maybe there is something wonderful waiting for you on the horizon!!!!

    I did not know that.

You may grow tired of well-intentioned people telling you "it's going to be ok" but it's the truth.

I believe as ex-nj-jw said, something better is coming your way!

Allow me to offer some very hypocritical advice, be patient. (I'm not too patient. I grow anxious pretty quickly. But things always seem to work out.)

    Hang in there,

Embellish those words on an application for a better job, you will have a good chance with better companies. I work for Kodak, and writing out duties and the layout of a job goes hand in hand with our KOS system. Kodak Operating System. Useful in any industry, because it streamlines ANY work process once you get to know it.

Everyone doing the same thing in the same manor will minimise defects and produce quality products. Use that on a resume.

Cheer up, from your posts I can tell this period for you will be brief.

Purps, first I am sorry to hear about your job, to me I would not sit back and let them fire or have another job offering that they will "most likely" sift you out the door later.

Call your workmans comp and then call in your state the labor department and find out all your rights, document everything as they are probably going to remove you without wanting to pay any long term disability to you and send you on your way with a bad back and all. I would get on workmans comp and take a lump sum to be removed from the company, Take the job and do your homework, document everything and take action. Your new job is probably a preliminary to your final removal. This is what has happened to corporate America, as I heard it before, we are all oranges to the employer, they will squeeze everything out of us and then throw us away.

"A best defense is a good offense".
