That is exactly what happened! The service was exactly as someone pointed out here yesterday. My brother followed the dub outline alright.

At the end he said "If any of you here are interested in learning more about blah blah blah...... see me afterwards.

And he did just as I said he would . . . Grandma is not in heaven or in hell, she's asleep and will one day wake up. If you want to see her again you can by learning what the bible requires of you . . . blah blah blah.

It really was a JW ad . . .

It's strange, i'm not sure how to explain it, but nobody seemed to care. They all look up to my brother. They think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I know the preaching part of it though had to bother some of them. I wish I was a fly on the wall when my family was not around.

Then it's just a shame that a wonderful opportunity to honor everyone's memory of her was wasted.
The talk was just something to go through the motions of, with no real meaning. Very JW.

At least you can all eulogize her in private with each other. At least it wasn't a fiasco.

Sandy, I'm sorry for your loss. I remember how upset I was, 6yrs. ago last Saturday, that I buried my 16 yr. old son. There was about 300

students from his school attended. The elder that gave the talk told those kids the same story. If they ever wanted to see Dustin again,

they would do well to become students of JWs. If I only would have got out that BS before....?

Why didn't the rest of your family stand up to your JW family? You need to call them and tell them to put their feet down and that they don't want any JW indoctrination during the service.

Did anyone in your family go up and say anything nice about your grandma? Why do they all think your brother is so great, is it because of his condition? What the hell? What's so great about him? He's one of the most self-righteous people I've ever met in my life!!! But you know the hall he's in. It's no wonder with all those other self-righteous farts he hangs with!

I can just see your dub family all proud afterward. And I really, truly hope NOT A SINGLE PERSON went up to him afterward wanting to learn from his allmighty teaching abilities!

Blue, I can't figure out why everone thinks my brother is so great. He is self-righteous . . . But I guess if you can't read people very well you hardly know him he comes across as nice and likable. My relatives do not know my brother very well. We only see our relatives a couple times a year.

Sunday is another family get together in honor of my Gram and he'll show up and offer to pray b-4 we eat and get glory and kudos for that. He'll stay 1, 2 hours tops and leave.

I am so annoyed w/ him right now. I just found out (maybe I forgot) that he totally shuns my niece who was df'ed a few years ago. I thought he at least greeted her whenever he saw her, but last night she told me that he totally ignores her. What a freaking a-hole! I think I got let this subject die because I am just getting more and more ANGRY.
