Tell prospective JWs the truth: You can't have oral sex with your mate. It is wrong. Bad. Unclean. Jehovah God hates that.

They are a branch of Adventists, their founder used to teach that Jesus returned in 1874, his grave is marked with a pyramid, they had a house built for OT saints called Beth Sarim, they now teach Jesus returned in 1914, (although they cannot count, because the 607 date for the fall of Jerusalem is a tad off...), etc....much of which can be found within the pages of their very own Proclaimers of God's Kingdom book. Including, but not limited to the white washed versions of teaching the world was going to end in 1975.....----need I go on?

Chapter 5 ALONE of this book is filled with lots of awesome truth! :0)

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that children of non-believers are going to be killed by God at Armageddon. Even newborn infants. A common statement made from their platforms in public talks is,

"Little snakes turn into big snakes."

For example, tell people that JWs don't think it's wrong to actually lie IF THEY believe that telling the truth to a person could hurt THEM. In this case it is called "theocratic war strategy" and the one who is not telling the truth about a matter can do this because the inquirer is one who is not "entitled" to know. And the Witnesses view is justified by using Bible examples of other faithful men who spoke untruth to a person because that one was not entitled to know the truth.

As in hurt the JW's or WTS, Mini? That would make sense. They'll lie to cover the WTS and JW collective butt and think nothing of it. If anything they're approached with smacks of bring "reproach," they'll wiggle like little snakes to get around it.

Witnesses teach that voting is wrong. Yet a Watchtower QFR states it's up to one's conscience.

The Bible says "abstain from blood". So blood transfusions are taboo but blood fractions are not.

The Watchtower has stated in the 1970's that smoking is a form of spiritism and sorcery.

But Frannie, then it's not called "lying".

I was out in fs one time, and this hardcore pioneer dub mentioned at the door that God was going to kill the little children at armageddon, "because you know, some of them are really bad."

    My reaction:

I told the story to my friends later that night in a restaurant. "You know, God killing children is something you're never supposed to tell the people at the door! Even if it's the truth, right! You can't say it right then and there."

They got quiet for a few seconds, then changed the subject. Mission accomplished.

Yep thats the way i tell people things now. I always mention the birthday thing and the children being killed at Armageddon seems to shock people. Also the fact that so many things they say are wrong are pagan, yet they wear wedding rings etc. Also the 'theocratic war strategy' , and the two witness rule.

The Proclaimers book which they pride as their heritage, when in fact it is their history of passed failings filled with neatly disquised lies, as they spoon feed and separate events under the guise of new light, is a very good book to review.

I like to quote Jesus who said: "By your own words you will be condemned". So,using anything that the society has put in writing such as the Proclaimers book is a good place to start.
