Mrs. Flipper and I are taking showers and going to watch Borat for the 90th time, and still laugh our a$$e$ off, drink chardonnay, bbq some chicken, drink more chardonnay, eat salad , laugh, play scrabble, listen to blues music, drink more chardonnay, then off to bed. Oh, by the way, I know it's not beer we are drinking but, I love Moosehead! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

    Reporting as requested nvr!

Going by your last post, I assume you are a fan of high gravity ales. I too enjoy a good chewy malt bomb type beer. North Coast Brewing makes several fantastic brews, here are the ones I've tried and enjoyed.

    Old Rasputin Imperial Stout

Produced in the tradition of 19th Century English brewers who supplied the court of Russia's Catherine the Great, Old Rasputin seems to develop a cult following wherever it goes. It's a rich, intense brew with big complex flavors and a warming finish.

    Vital Statistics

    Style: Russian Imperial Stout
    Color: Black
    ABV: 9%
    Bitterness: 75 IBU's

    Old Stock Ale

Like a fine port, Old Stock Ale is intended to be laid down. With an original gravity of over 1.100 and a generous hopping rate, Old Stock Ale is well-designed to round-out and mellow with age. It's brewed with classic Maris

    Vital Statistics

    Style: Old Ale
    Color: Mahogany
    ABV: 11.7% (2007)
    Bitterness: 36 IBU's

    Pranqster
    Belgian Style Golden Ale

Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing

PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that produce a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

    Vital Statistics Style: Belgian Style
    Abbey Ale
    Color: Soft Gold
    ABV: 7.6%
    Bitterness: 20 IBU's

Glad you made it over here.

    How was the trip?

    LOL!

Imperial stout is perhaps my favorite style.

    Thanks for the recommendations!

nvr, I'm a HUG RIS fan. Have you had Stone Brewing's Russian Imperial?

Are you in Penn? Would anyone be interested in the polssibility of a beer exchange?

    I am.

    Close to Philly.

I like the idea, but PA has some weird liquor control laws.

Not sure how that would work.

    Worth looking into though.
