Must be some sort of evil cult, who else would ask a spouse to sneak out of the house, lie to their mate and use God for the reason?

Well...I was 10. Mom had been married to step-dad for about 2 years and we were living in the town I had always lived in for a while...Then we started our moving around days. (I am talking 50 moves in 8 years....some from apt to house....some across the country...Land leasing job) Anyhow....We were in a new place with no family or friends and she started studying...we went to the hall and for the first time in my life...I had a bunch of people who weren't family that LOVED us!! And...i am getting a pet Lion on top of it all!! Whoo-Hoo!! She fell for it within 8 months and got baptised. We never belonged to a hall that "nice" again....hmmmmmmm

My first impressions were good and I never thought that they were a cultic organisation. It was unusual in an indifferent society for someone that was a stranger to show interest, to come and talk to you about anything let alone religion. I thought they were a spiritual organisation genuinely interested in promoting christianity. But of course that was very naive as I find out later.

My first impression was GREAT, these guys ROCK!! Big Time (ok, I didn't say ROCK)

The one and only reason for this was that when my parents starteed "studying", I, as a 6-year old, no longer had to go to Catholic School Catechism on Saturdays...

    Seriously, but LOL.

I wish the nuns had been nicer to me, I might have fought to keep going to Catechism.......

I thought they were sincere and fell for the love bombing. They didn't believe in hell or war, so they stood out as different.

But there were many, many red flags along the way. I should have listened. I have to give them credit where credit is due, they are extremely effective in manipulating the mind.

Talk about mind-controlled zombies- after sitting in Catholic Church endless eons- it was a real pleasure- and I learned more that 1st visit than my entire life (up to only 18) in the Catholic Fantasyland. Before going to the Kingdom Hall, it was amazing to have people answer my every question from the Bible!

Well MAD man if you converted at 18, and your profile age of 54 is correct, then you had your questions answered around the year 1971.

The King of the North and South was Russia and whom?

To understand what occured in 1914 it is reasonable to assume that you had to be around 9, and since an average person lives to be around 70 and the generation that saw 1914 would by no means pass away, then it is obvious that we indeed do live in "critical times" and the end is just around the corner.

I had a brother (an actual blood brother) that converted to the WTS around this time and around your age. I am happy to report that after going missing in action for almost two decades, he came to his senses and reverted back to the genuine good person he was before get entangled in the WTS fantasyland. Having him back as my brother is better than words can describe.

MAD man you sound like a good guy, I hope there aren't family members of yours, that have been affected by the WTS fantasyland. I hope there is a brother of yours that feels about you, the way I feel about my brother.
