I fell for the love-bombing like others who were duped. Thought they were very nice, though a bit AR. And the music the first time I attended the KH?!!! It sounded really dorky....like soap opera theme music.

As an aside, the name Jehovah really was repugnant to me at first. I physically recoiled when I first began hearing it. Now I know why.

1969 summer,NY. Mets heading to the world series which they won! I'm watching the game, knock, knock, Honey get the door! After some time, I go see who it is, my wife leaves me with two men talking about world problems, the Bible, and the "BLUE BOMB", THE TRUTH BOOK. Clean cut men very impressionable. Never heard this kind of message before. Looking at the chapters in the book, and I always read books, I took the offer and I think I gave them .25 cents for the book and .10 cents for the two magazines. BIG MISTAKE! Fast forward to 33 years later, I woke up and I'm no longer serving the slave.

Very first impression when not knowing any personally was...Freakin weirdos!!!! Then, after becoming close with the poeple in the org. at the beginning I thought they were all nice. Then on my exit after knowing them and seeing how they lived and viewed things it was....Freakin weirdos!!!!

    Ahhhhh, the circle of life.

My very first contact w/a JW was a taxi driver in NYC on my honeymoon. I though the AWAKE mag was something to do w/AWAKE orange juice. That was a brand back in 1967! lol

Second time I was preggers w/our first and 2 old sisters came to my door. Paid for the little blue book "TRUTH THAT LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE" w/ 25 cents in pennies.

Then moved after son was born and was contacted by a couple. Thought they were very smiley and friendly. Took the bait and they set the "hook" and rest is history.

I was told that I cried, wet myself and had to be taken outside a lot.

Um, yes, I was a baby.
