From the information I am reading on Green Power...Every country and it's Uncle are forging full speed ahead to develop an alternative fuel such has Solar, wind, fuel cells and so on. China is trying to tap into Hydro Electric power using it's Rivers, plus all other alternatives.
Oil will soon reach it's peak and it will be down hill from there. The Fat Cats will be left in the dust. However I believe the Fat Cats also have bets on Solar Power.

What I think is that the US and the West in general believe that Iran has expansionist aims and aspires to become a regional super power. This is very worrying because it is an Islamic fundamentalist state and therein very hostile to the west. There is apprehension about them getting nuclear weapons, due to their links with terrorism. Also that area is very sensitive due to the oil it produces. Finally Israel is a prime target of Iran which galvanises the Jewish lobby in the USA to promote such a war. Russia is also a victim of Islamic terrorism. So it seems that Iran will get hit soon.
