Actually, the light is not getting brighter, but cheeper. The Tower has switch from an incondecent light to flouresent. This saves money!

They are a publishing company, they need sales people. It's like any other job. They run some crap up the flag pole and if you salute you get to peddal their wares. If you dont like it, you find another hobby or side job.

Appealing to the Scripture at Proverbs 4:18 is a feeble attempt to have a Scriptural-sounding explanation for an organization that is continuously changing it's teachings and doctrines. The real problem lies in the practice of a centralized body trying to force it's fellow Christians into unanimity of thought and belief.
Proverbs chapter 4 is discussing the life path of the righteous versus the wicked. Every single Bible commentary that I have ever looked at agrees upon this very fundamental explanation of that chapter. There is nothing in the verses which suggest that the Bible writer was refering to Divine revelations or Scriptural interpretations.
The apostle Paul warned Christians about the dangers in giving allegiance over to men, and allowing them to dictate their own unique teachings onto others. He wrote:
"Then we shall no longer be children, carried by the waves and blown about by every shifting wind of the teaching of deceitful people, who lead others into error by the tricks they invent." (Ephesians 4:14)
I think that when Christians are coerced into constantly accepting "new light" from a centralized body of religious leaders; this would fit under Paul's words regarding "every shifting wind of teaching".
But hey; maybe the Watchtower's "new light" has rendered the writings of Paul obsolete; and "old light".

For most sincere witnesses they have their eyes shut, they enjoy it and truly like it like that.
I found for the majority ignorance is a blessing and they would not have it any other way.

up until 1995 i was worried that armagedon would come before i went back to the meetings but the new light on the generation lifted a weight off my shouler.Being brought up a jw and knowing how 1914 and the generation then armagedon were so doctrinal then the wtbts doing a backflip proved how uninspired they are.
So if it hadn t been for the new light then i may still be waiting for armagedon
