I thought of the most beautiful FULL arch rainbow, I saw on the drive from Los Angeles to San Diego, down the coast. It was on the land side. I had never seen a rainbow that bright and end to end.

The gay rainbow colors, my daughter just told me about that last month. I told her that I didn't believe that, and that was silly, and for her to not spread rumors.

Rainbows are usually associated with gay communities/people because of the multi-colored flag that are displayed at the Gay PRIDE parades all over the world. Even though it has NOTHING to do with a real rainbow, mostly because a rainbow only has 7 colors I think and some of the colors on the "gay flag" are not colors in the rainbow, it's considered by many to look like a rainbow. I am not certain, but I think the multi-colors in the "gay flag" is to represent that gay people come from all nations, races (skin colors), heritages, etc. justahuman - but super nonetheless

Around here - Seattle, heavy gay population - homosexualism, gay pride. It is almost a given when you see it as a sticker on a car that it is the gay symbol. Just the way it is these days I guess.

Well, a rainbow used to make me think of a rainbow - awesome and beautiful things which just don't seem to be "in the air" as much these days.

But now when I hear rainbow, I think of the "Rainbow Children": http://www.angelsuniverse.com/whoarethepsychic.htm
    (also known as "Indigo Children").

Makes me think of the clear rainbow (arch) sticker that was on the back window of our rusted out yellow Datson station wagon we had growing up. (circa late 70s to early 80s)

And bread- isn't there some Rainbow Bread corporation?

    Also gays.

The dispersion of sunlight into its component colours as it's refracted through raindrops.

    But maybe that's just me

    FD - You FREAK!

I didn't know that rainbows symbolised gayness - maybe its something that hasn't caught on here yet!

Rainbow garments tend to be worn by the traveller/hippy community and students over here, but hey maybe they were all gay and I just didn't know!

The word rainbow makes me think aloud in this tune

"Red and Yellow and Pink and Blue, Purple and Orange and Green - I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too!"
