Was a have, moved to a new congo in socal felt left out as those in the congo were have nots. This was one of my reasons for fading no one to socialize with at the hall. It felt that that hall was a pit of depravity.

At 21 their opinion of the world was slightly different than mine.My opinion was that of a single male with a 30 story penthouse apt on a Southern Califorina Beach and the veiw of the open road from the windshield of my Jag XKE-V12. For me in 1979 the the big A was no where in sight.

It always amazed me when the young bros would be hitting on my girl of the day, the best was when the girls told me about it.

Juni, the fault I found most annoying among the congregations was the rude habit of not replying to invitations, even if they were specifically R.S.V.P, and just not showing up at all. No phone, no show.
I think the problem was if they said "yes" to one invite, then if another better invite came up they would not be able to go to that. Or they checked with their best friends in the hall and found they were not also invited and so did not want to go either. Aaarrrrggggghhhhhh!!! In 35 years there were many people I could not get close to because of this annoying trait.

This is an absolutely fantastic topic, and now that I look back and think about it, there was definitely a degree of separation like this. For some reason, I never realized it, seeing as how I didn't donate, didn't participate, didn't help in any way really, and I thought that was why I never got any extra invites or anything. To be perfectly honest, I was kind of a mooch at the KH. I was the type that needed two fresh brand new copies of the Watchtower, one for underlining and highlighting with different colored Accent markers, and another in mint condition for archiving. It was tough to get extra copies of the "All scripture" book, or the Kingdom interlinear translation, (you know, that book that makes you look smarter). All in all, I never realized that none of that would have mattered at all if I actually had money. What I did see, however, was the competition between men in suits. For some reason, the visiting speakers would always seem to have top of the line apparel.
