Paragraph 8 states that David "experienced another narrow escape from death". Surely as Jehovah's anointed one he had divine protection so Jehovah would not have allowed anyone to kill him. So therefore he needn't have run away or feared Saul or anyone else but merely trusted in Jehovah for protection.
Good comments everyone.
I wonder if anyone pointed out that the WTS does not expect every individual of the 6.5 billion non-JWs to get a personal witness. That they will be subject to what they call "community responsibility."
*** w00 1/15 p. 13 par. 17 "Keep on the Watch" ***
Nevertheless, the Bible does not state that Jehovah will wait until every individual on earth has received a personal witness. Rather, the good news must be preached to Jehovah’s satisfaction. Then the end will come.—Compare Matthew 10:23.
*** w97 8/15 p. 14 par. 11 Living for Today or for an Eternal Future? ***
Today, Jehovah’s Witnesses carry out their work in 233 lands, island groups, and territories. True, untouched territories still exist, and perhaps in Jehovah’s due time, a door of opportunity will open. (1 Corinthians 16:9) Still, Jesus’ words recorded at Matthew 10:23 are sobering: "You will by no means complete the circuit of the cities of Israel until the Son of man arrives." While the good news will surely be announced throughout the earth, we will not in person reach all parts of the earth with the Kingdom message before Jesus "arrives" as Executioner.

Many are exposed to our message as we preach from house to house or informally. Others may learn of Jehovah’s Witnesses and what we represent in ways unknown to us. When judgment time arrives, to what extent will Jesus consider community responsibility and family merit? We cannot say, and it is pointless to speculate.

km11/85p.3par.10MeetingtheChallengeofApartmentWitnessing***So we have to face the fact that there are some apartment building owners who have incorporated stipulations in their leases that allow them to determine who shall or who shall not call on their tenants. If the tenants are willing to let their landlords make such important decisions for them, then they place themselves under "community responsibility," and we will not insist on making calls on them. (meaning if the tenants do not allow access, that they will die at Armageddon).

Wow, imagine the lease for a gated community.
"The landlord assumes no responsibility for the tenant's everlasting life. While the landlord doesn't grant access to
all the mind-control cults, this in no way impedes the tenant from pursuit of any whacky religions on his own. By

Q16) How has Jehovah used his angels to come to our rescue?
16 ) "The angel o f Jehovah is camping all around those fearing him, and he rescues
them."
(Psalm 34:7) David did not view his rescue by Jehovah as something that could happen only to him. True, David was Jehovah's anointed, Israel's future king; but he knew that Jehovah uses his angels to watch over all of his faithful worshippers, regardless of whether they are prominent or lowly. In our modern day, true worshippers have also experienced the protection that Jehovah provides. In Nazi Germany--as well as in Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, and many other lands--authorities have waged campaigns to wipe out Jehovah's Witnesses. Their efforts have been in vain. Instead, Jehovah's people in those lands continue to thrive as they exalt God's name together. Why? Because Jehovah uses his holy angels to protect and guide his people.-Hebrews 1:14.
Rescue by Jehovah as something that could happen only to him—what about the men who fought by his side but died…what about Uriah?
Do the angels today protect?
His faithful worshippers…true worshippers—only JWs
In Nazi Germany…Angola, Malawi, Mozambique….to wipe out Jehovah’s Witnesses. Their efforts have been in vain.
Does that mean that no individual JWs have died? No, because the WTS interprets this as protection "as a group." That as long as some JWs survive, the angels have done their job, to protect the organization, the group
who saved the innocent ones being gunned down by their angry jw husband "see news from the last few years"
who saved the pedestrians outside the jersey city assembly hall, when they got hit by a out of control car?
who saved the hackensack, NJ Kingdom Hall from flooding in 1999?
Thanks Blondie! Hope you're feeling better!
I think what they are trying to say is that they feel that the only protection they can be sure of is that there will be enough j-dubs to accomplish Gods purposes , they are not guaranteeing members that they will survive every threat they face . They would be completely mad if they tried to guarantee any such thing , since the evidence has shown this to be true then they can say it as fact and not opinion. I guess you have to accept that Gods will is that you sell WTBTS magazines and conduct home bible studies to try and convert others.
My post was aimed at exposing their "double speak"
Greetings Blondie,
Coming out of this odd hybrid of an OT/NT religion is a struggle for the heart and mind. These ongoing WT study articles reinforce the fact that JW's faith is only Christian-coated, Old Testament beliefs - IMHO. Thanx for your tireless efforts.
Hope your tests turn out favorable and that any fears you have may be put to rest. Greetings, too, to Irreverent.

I have to say this was one thing I frequently did not agree with - the fact that someone would claim to have had Jehovah's protection, when someone else didnt. I couldn't see how anyone (including the society) could make such a claim. I now realise its a reinforcing technique used to show that JW's are the only true religion to their members. Followers want to believe it so they buy it big time, anything that goes well for them becomes a blessing from Jehovah, anything bad was Satan and this world getting at them.
Anyway i've not had a chance to thank you Blondie for a while, for your effort to produce the comments, so a big thank you from me.
By the way I like the new font/size etc too
