let me know how they turn out; Im suppose to be wearing them, however instead I wear regular glasses and to read Im suppose to wear contact lenses and reading glasses!! *ugh* Just when I thought my vision couldnt get worse, I have to wear different glasses for different things.

I have them for two years now, doing fine. It take time to get use to them, once you do there ok. I did not like the transitions, going from clear to dark.

I use progressive lenses for everything but reading off paper. My sunglasses are progressive polarized. I use bifocals for reading from paper. All three frames are identical for wearing comfort.

I'd never give up progressive lenses for computer viewing and I'd never give up bifocals for book reading.

Well I am trying and can't read on the computer but distance is great and my neck is sore from turning my head all the time as the peripheral vision is a blur.

See the doc again Wed for a follow up about the glaucoma thing.

It is very difficult to read the computer screen

I wonder if these lenses are positioned right

I don't know about progressive lenses, but when I got new glasses a few months ago I asked about the transition lenses and they said they don't work well while driving, something to do with the glass of the car blocking the UV light I think, so I opted for these glasses that have magnetic "clip-ons".

I had radial keratotomy about 10 years ago. It fixed my nearsightedness, but I was told that I would, probably, reverse to farsightness after time. This did happen plus gaining presbyopia. Anyway, I have to wear trifocals (no lines). The glasses were expensive even with insurance. I can't see well without them. It took awhile to get used to; but now I grab them as soon as I wake up.

The glasses have one for regular seeing, computer reading, and for reading.

Hambeak I loved my tri-focal progressives! I got them six years ago when I had more money. I was able to see clearly for the first time in years with them! Unfortunately the coating they put on mine deteriorated and they went very cloudy. The first time this happened they replaced them for free. The second time it happened the clouding/scratches problem was beyond warranty. I still have my precious little glasses in a drawer.

Maybe it was the style that affected my peripherals. I bought these teeny little Ben Franklin style frames. I had the hardest time backing my car up with those little glasses as the vision would change constantly from close to far to close to far. And yes going down stairs was particularly troublesome.

I look forward to someday affording another pair!

    Okay where do I start

I first started with progressives with transitional lens. The progressives were great for me for everything. It did take about a week to get fully used to them. But I hated how long it took to transition from dark to light.

Second pair was a 2 for 1 deal so I got one set in progressive lens and one pair progressive sunglasses. A pain to always switch but better than transitional. It took a few hours to get used to the new progressives

Third pair was progressives with magnetic clip-on sunglasses Absolutely loved them.

Fourth pair are bifocals. I used the third pair and had them put in the new lenses. I hate them, hate them, hate them. I won't even wear them.

So I am wearing the second pair which oddly enough is closer to my correct vision than the third pair.

Next pair will definitely be transitional with my magnetic clip-ons

Give yourself time. Your eyes just need a bit of time to get used to them. I find it easier to move my eyes instead of my head. Your eyes will find the right place on the lens to focus on
