yep. Still in "Good standing"® but starting the fade. Lurking a long time on JWD. I'll have to tell as much of my story as I can one of these days (without "outing" myself for now) on a separate thread. (No hijacking allowed) I know there are Elders™ in my old Congregation™ that watch this board for Apostates™ from our KingdumbHall™. I know, I used to be one of 'em. Sat on a JC for an "Apostate" not long before I was removed as an Elder™. Ironic, eh? SnakesInTheTower (yeah I know, typo in the alias.)

fader here too. It has taken approx 6 months for the congregation to register that I'm never there - its only now that whenever i meet a witness they ask when I'm coming back

Don't personally put a report in for myself and am not on the inactive list yet . My days are numbered

Really? Is this common for elders to do, as a collective body? I'm not so sure about that. What will the CO say? Of course, he doesn't know.

So is that why you are on your way out? Do you owe it to JWD via the internet?

I was on this board about six months while I was an active, door knocking, meeting attending, talk giving JW. Boy was that a hell!

I feel for all of you that are still in that position.

I'll have to start a new thread so as not to hijack this one to fully answer AW. To answer your question briefly, the PO was watching a suspected apostates public blog until he had enough "evidence" to D/A if not D/F. I know..he produced reams of printouts of the blog at our elders Meetings. I asked him whether it was "good association" to look at an alleged apostates blog. He had no answer for this. CO know?...yeah..plays golf with the PO.... and so did the appeals committe who told us "good job" on the "proof". Collective BOE looking at blogs and/or JWD? Heck no. But neither did they question the PO why he was there. I know there are others Dubs in the old cong. that are lurking on JWD by what they say in private discussions. It only takes one to cause me problems. As for JWD being reason trying to fade...partly. More details in another post on another thread. SnakesInTheTower (of the Lazy Sheep Class)

When I first started posting on an apostate board I was active. I've been gone about 6 years now, but as I'm told I'm still considered spiritual and a good associate... do you believe that?

I can't believe how many active JW's are on this board, you'll have to forgive me when I say HOLY SH!T

Fader here too. It's been coming for a few years now, I had lots of doubts but I pushed them to the back of my mind as being a dub was all I ever knew(was raised in the troof). It's funny that only in the last few months have people started to notice my long absenses (sp?) from the kingdumb hall. Am trying to stay under the radar to avoid the shunning.

I just wonder if there is anyone from Bethel on here - or if their internet access is too closely monitored?

I suppose they block access to certain sites. Monitoring is illegal in some countries (I guess most). Not that I doubt they would do it, but it could be costly. I am aware of cases of employees that got laid off for looking at porn sites, went into court and won.

If any bethelites are posting I would be surprised if they would say it openly that they are bethelites.
