God will tell them according to them.....

WTS is God in their view until someone like Him relieves them or proves them otherwise right?

The government has to love thenm as well...they command their followers to obey them and do everything they say...while staying out of their affairs and allowing their corruption to remain unhindered.

They have no predators...they are at the top of the food chain along with their guess they present as inside information from God.

Only God Himself can silence and defeat them imo.

Just dont tell anyone.....................they dont need to know.

    YES.

If necessary, tell her that even they aren't sure whether this is allowed, so
just don't mention the procedures you are having. If they ask, just say you
don't want to discuss the procedures.

Have the nurses restrict visitors when they are going to give the blood. That way no one can just walk in.

Like was mentioned, that is confidential info. Unless she tells anyone.....no one has to know.

    Ditto on the above.

Per HIPPAA, no one can know the medical treatment your mother receives without her consent. So, just make sure that she doesn't give permission to anyone to see what treatment she is receiving.

I agree that nobody needs to know. One other thing that I would make damn sure of, would be to make a visit to the hospital where your mom is being treated and have them REMOVE any reference to her being a JW from her computerized record.

HLC members have been known to use their position to perform what the hospital regards as Pastoral Care Visits. They can request a list of all JW patients in the hospital and will make unannounced visits, wearing hospital approved ID, to patients on the JW list.

They can also gain access to the patient's chart under the guise of documenting a pastoral care visit. Make sure that the hospital staff is aware of your concerns and does not permit Pastoral Visits without your consent. In fact, the best way to keep them out is to request a CONFIDENTIAL PATIENT code on the patient's computerized record. That way, only the people who have been authorized by the patient can contact by phone or make visits to the patient.

To the hospital and most nursing staff, the Pastoral Care Visit appears to be an innocuous, supportive supplement to the medical care the patient is receiving. However, in the case of JWs, we all know that the HLC's motive is more about ensuring compliance with WTS directives than it is about offering support to a patient who is struggling with serious illness.

Hope the FDS is wrong....and taking those will not really harm her.....or else everyone elses good natured advice may be a future death sentence for her.

That would be bad......it is all so confusing sometimes.....right and wrong without seeing into the future is very hard to discern imo.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she recovers from this.

Well, considering the FDS™ track record, I'd say that a chemo patient who has none of their own platelets left would probably be at extreme risk for dying due to DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation) and stands a much better chance of that NOT happening by having donor platelets given to them.

What so many JWs fail to understand is that donor blood products offer a temporary replacement of vitally required components. When the patient has survived the critical stage of their illness, their body will start making their own platelets, red cells, white cells and plasma again. Receiving a blood transfusion does not mean that the donor's blood products stay in their system forever. Platelets, red cells, white cells and plasma all have their own life spans. The transfusion is not like removing all the oil in your car's engine and replacing it with new oil until the next oil change is due. The body will produce its own blood components in response to whatever it needs, however, in the case of chemotherapy or hemorrhagic shock, these blood products are necessary for IMMEDIATE SURVIVAL.

JWs need to stop playing Russian Roulette with other people's lives.

I have reasonalbe faith in the medical advice of a doctor.

I do not have any faith in the medical advice of a bunch of under-educated, instituitionalized, zealots.

Why are you trusting of the societys "medical advice"?

better late then never. If memory serves most blood parts are "a conscience matter". I think the only thing forbiden is red blood cells. Could be wrong, but I don't think so.
