So if the Governing Body does not need to be associated with any of the corporations, and the anointed are composed of spiritually weak people who have no more insight than the microphone boy, and there is a doctrine of succession of appointment, who has the current appointment?
It can't be the Governing Body because they aren't associated with the Society since 2000, and it can't be the 100+ Watch Tower business corporations because those directors are not anointed except by coincidence. And it can't be the anointed because they have defectives and many have not been faithful or discreet.
None of the writings Jesus supposedly looked at in 1914 through 1918 and loved, are even in print except by the Bible Students. Hmmmmmm

Love that question!
He appointed the registered corporation!
That's why Daniel predicted the restructuring of the corporate charter in 1945!
At least the Popes have some sort of official pass-the-baton succession type of doctrine.

This also reminds me of a question that has come to my mind often.
Even if there was a 'first century governing body', where are we ever told that they appointed successors???Well per the official teaching of the Watch Tower Society, the Apostles had NO successors.
In the Reasoning book, p. 37, under the subheading "Apostolic Succession" we find: "Definition: The doctrine that the 12 apostles have successors to whom authority has been passed by divine appointment. [...] Not a Bible teaching."
You might find this useful when discussing the Governing Body; I know I have found it so (and have used it, too!)
