That tells me that if they are God's mouthpiece and his organization.....You are smarter than the God they represent and take orders from....at least as near as I can tell from a money view-point anyway.

16 Young Christians today face similar challenges. Matthew, who serves at a branch office of Jehovah’s Witnesses, recalls: “When I began serving as a pioneer, my father was extremely disappointed. He felt that I had ‘wasted’ my education by taking a job as a cleaner to support me in my ministry. He would taunt me, reminding me of how much I could earn if I took a full-time job.” How did Matthew deal with that opposition? “I kept up a solid Bible-reading schedule and constantly prayed, especially at moments when it would have been easy for me to lose my temper.” Mathew’s determination had been rewarded. Over time, his relationship with his father improved. Matthew had also drawn closer to Jehovah. “I have seen Jehovah provide for me, encourage me, and protect me from bad decisions,” says Matthew. “I would not have experienced any of these things if I had not reached out for spiritual goals.”

That paragraph made my blood boil. Dubs can rant on about how money isn't important to them all they want. Yet you look at the elders and ms in most congregations and they don't do work such as cleaning. Many of them have their own businesses and most of them are quite well off financially.

The only reason they print that crap is to keep the sheeps in their place and doing their dirty work for them.

Here is an excellent book, "The History of Education."

Some scholars believe that Timothy's father was deceased by the time he is referenced in the Bible. Also, we have no evidence that Timothy was from a wealthy family; some Greeks were so poor they didn't even own slaves. It is highly unlikely that Timothy would have been from a family wealthy enough to continue his education into his late teens-early 20s, so it is more likely than not that the "fantasy" conversations/situations in the Watchtower and last drama never happened!

About 6 years ago, my relatives were on a campaign to make me a more faithful Jdub. They glowingly said, "The Society changed, they now allow advanced education." I was supposed to take new change as gospel, while I high tailed it back to the KH to be more regular. Now, my relatives don't say anything....especially about higher education. This article proves why. The Society is back to its "no advanced education" mantra.

God made each of us unique, with our own special talent. Some are gifted with auto body work (see "Pimp My Ride" and, my favorite, "Trick My Truck"). This trade needs technical school or apprenticship. Others, include EMTs, bookkeepers, plumbers. These trades takes hard work and dedication.

Others are going to want to be doctors, nurses, attorneys, architects, enginners, grade school teachers, urban planners, insurance brokers, real estate brokers, etc. etc. etc. Yes, these trades require hard work and dedication....just like the above jobs. Where would we be, and the Watchtower be, without these people?.

The Watchtower Society thwarts the talent of its followers, for the Watchtower Society's bidding. To waste a God given talent is blasphemy to His face!
