America's Universities? Do you mean some USA universities?

Seems like some need reminding that it is to LEARN TO THINK FOR YOURSELF.

I have heard all sorts of wacky views from BOTH ends of the spectrum. I take them in, mull them over and form an opinion based on what I have experienced, what is presented to me in class and what I read in relevant literature.

That is actually what you are supposed to be able to do. If a professor (and we've seen 3 or 5 out of HOW many hundreds of thousands of professors...?) is spouting off racist nonsense, is this not an opportunity to develop your OWN ideas even further?? Raise your hand and make a retort in class! Gather fellow outraged students together and DO something! Don't just whine about it.

I was in a rather "right-leaning" undergraduate program and was quite outnumbered- but I stood up to the crowd and backed up my own views with the science that I had. You need to do the same. It is called "getting an education".

Most of us at universities are not babies needing to be fed mush-grey pablum...

I just can't understand why any end-of-the-world minded person would rant about the very things that their religion teaches them is fulfillment of prophecy. Isn't all this "badness" in the world supposed to be happening? Doesn't it mean that the Second Coming is near?

I have no doubt that some PhD trained lecturers would harbor such views, after all they are just human. But title of this thread is basically all-inclusive "What is Really being Taught in America's Universities" It makes it sound as if Universities are racist camps where new killers are being trained. Nothing could be further from the truth than that. I have no time to investigate those claims now but if they were true and not taken out of context then this is the matter for police.

I don't know. Perhaps Jesus words about occupying until he returns. Or about being salt and light. In other words exposing what is wrong or immoral, and being a preservative element for His teachings. These things Christians should be doing.

I am not angry about it, nor am I hand wringing. I leave the hand wringing and anger to the Global Warming cultists. I just thought I would point out some of the silliness and outright racism that is being taught in the university under the guise of tolerance and racial equality.

Yes, all those things indicate the nearness of Jesus' return, what's your point.

I realize you are confused, and I am glad you admitted it. Admission is always a sign that you are on the road to recovery.
