How "little" does it take to make you happy?

Some people seem to need a lot to be happy, while others are happy just with the minimum.

What small thing made you happy lately? Your husband perhaps...

OK, for me, a sunny warm day, and I'll be outside and walking around and happy.

A song that I like and gets me dancin'

My cat rubbing against me and purring

Visiting a friend far away and being welcome opened arms

A good book - I don't even have to own it! From the library is just fine, as long as I'm readin' it.

Wake-n-Cake (that's waking up and eating cake),

A long walk in the sun (stolen from JH, but it's true!)

Listening to my favorite band in my earphones.

    Laughing

    Riding my bicycle

Writing - stories, or in my diary, attempting poetry, writing makes me happy

If I don't lock my keys in my car, drive off forgetting to put the gas cap back on the car, don't stub my toe on the concrete steps outside my apartment when wearing sandles, get a parking spot less than a mile from this apartment, don't have the neighbor's alarm clock go off for an hour in the morning loud enough to wake me up... any of those would make me happy.

its funny because this thread reflected what i was thinking about recently.

My Family and the place i live in, love it around here and couldn't imagine being elsewhere.

Security for me and my family in every possible way (ie; financial, a roof over our heads)

Comfortable living, enough money to not worry and that'll do me.

Whatever else happens is a bonus.

I am so happy at night when all of my kids and my hubby are home safe and sound....then, when I hear the sound of a police, ambulance or firetruck siren go off(which happens far too frequently in our city), my heart doesn't jump into my throat with worry that it's one of the ones I love in trouble....THAT makes me very happy.
