So The Jew's were in servitude to Babylon for a total of 70 years. From 607 to 537 BCE, released to go back to their homeland and rebuild their temple by Cyrus The Persian. However the distruction of Jerusalem and the temple took place in 587 BCE.

May I suggest that the next time you offer a file that is on FileSend, that you add a couple of lines to warn everyone about the pop-ups and ads. I tried it again and was able to read your document OK the second time, but the popup ad was different and less irritating. The first ad kept repeating and replacing itself, no matter what I tried to do and was so visually irritating that I never noticed the 20 second clock or the download pad. In fact, now that I think of it, everytime I tried to get rid of the popup, it would reappear and the clock would reset.

I'm not blaming you for the actions of the advertisers on FileSend, but anytime you use an income generating website, you can expect these types of things to happen. It only hurts your own credibility and you get branded as being part of the guilty ones.

You know, kind of like us apostates...

The Battle of Carchemish in 605 BCE likely marked the time when Hatti-land, including the Jews, came under Babylonian control.

Babylonian control ceased in 539 BCE.

The period 605 to 539 is close enough to 70 years -- "three generations", "serve him, his son and his grandson". Do not look for the mathematical precision of 21st century man.

The term "70 years" can be taken to mean "an appropriate period", as with other countries and cities (Egypt, Tyre, etc).

Thanks to the likes of AlanF, Leoleia and Alleymom - all their posts are in the archives - the truth about 607BCE has been well and truly documented. Watchtower lied and continues to perpetuate the lie. End of story!

99% of the world couldn't care less if it was 607 or 587, It doesnt matter to me either way, because it doesnt mean squat, and has no bearing on christianity.

The Watchtower has lied on 607 for years, but even if they were rigtht about this, they are still a lying, childwrecking, family busting cult, so it doesnt matter to me who is right about this particular date, however it is a big deal for the WT because they use that to back up their false doctrine.
