WHAT GOOD ARGUMENTS COULD YOU TELL A JW TO MAKE THEM THINK?

I agree with this: "trying to get rocks to think"

but if I talked to someone and really wanted to try to get them to think, I would ask them if they love their children, even the problem children. Why would a "loving" god be willing to kill off 99.95 of his children, even if they are rebellious. To me that is one of the most serious problems with this cult - but of course the zombies would have some glib answer. My favorite is that rattlesnake babies are as dangerous as adult rattlesnakes. I heard that at the KH once and I've never forgotten it - what supreme contempt they have for most of the world.

No. Because people who don't want to think, won't.

Agreed. Having been on the other side of the fence I know all the defences we were taught - 'apostate thinking', 'put your trust in Jehovah who understands more than you', 'only trying to rob you of your faith, what are they going to replace it with?' etc etc Its not a logic thing. Its a powerful emotional attachment, that no amount of logical argument can challenge. No argument made me leave. I just left when I was pig sick of it. But it still took me 5 years before I was able to analyse it and look at the arguments against. I wouldnt waste my breath on them. Its a no win situation.
