hey dave!
thank you for your lines.
your reply dont answers question but shows a open minded view of things. i like that very much.
i guess we have just to live with some things in life. and why should i bother about things i never saw, i never experienced? which are likely twisted and can be misinterpreted by anyone. and the human brain is a complex machinery which can cause many many things we dont understand fully.
i guess i shouldnt bet too much on those stories. i better use the things i can prove instead.

"They worry about curses, omens, charms, fetishes. JW don't worry about these." Then why can't JW's wear them as jewelry or decorations in their houses? Why are garage sales so bad when these are seen in the sale? Like hell they don't worry about them! JW's are the most supersticious people I know.

By simplified, do they mean that Africans are simple minded? That is demeaning!

wtwizard,
I totally agree with you on the possibility of the right-brain. After my mom studied with my brother and I about demons in the Paradise Lost book when we were little, I used to have paralyzing dreams that the demons were attacking me. However, when I was six years old and wanted so badly to celebrate Christmas and prayed outoud to Satan to take me with him so I wouldn't have to be a Witness anymore, know what happened? Nothing. I was a little disappointed. There have been demonic stories coming out of the mental institutions for I don't know how long due to mental illness. I think that if it is not the right-brain, it is mental illness. Maybe it is an illness of the right-brain. I'm sorry if I offended anyone out their who believe they had such experiences. I don't mean to offend, just discuss possibilities.

"Satan said Eve would not die. Eve believed him, but eventually she died."
More recently:
Rutherford said "Millions Now Living Will Never Die!" People believed him, but eventually they all died.
And this statement that turned out just to be flat out wrong.
"1914, The Generation that will not Pass Away"
The problem is that many people lived their lives believing that these thing they were told were true.

Why should anyone believe anything that the Watchtower says about anything?
