Great letter. I hope you get a reply, it will be interesting to see what spin they put on it.

Sounds like a great letter diamondblue! I hope (yet sadly I doubt) that your letter meets with more consideration than mine did. I wrote one not too long ago to the society (on a different subject) and as others have suggested here, I got a form letter telling me to attend meetings and a visit from two elders in return. Never once did any of them even MENTION the issues I had raised in my letter. And come to find out, that's because they didn't even know the contents of my letter. They had been sent to me with NO KNOWLEDGE of WHY they were being sent to me!!!!
I wish you the best!

I certainly can't speculate on whether you will receive an answer from the WTS (it would be from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses) to your letter-that is the service desk, but rest assured that the reply they send in return will not contain one direct answer to any question you have posed.
When my teen daughter was treated horribly by a JC, after lying to her, false accusations, and never even telling her why she was being disfellowshipped, my husband and I wrote at least ten letters, each many pages long, outlining all the things they did and said in the back room. It was MONTHS before they wrote back, and believe me, NEVER did they answer ONE question.
The letters were cleverly worded so as not to cast any guilt on the elders involved, but said that they "had learned a lesson." I can't imagine what that lesson was, unless it was that they can get away with bullying children in the "good old boy network."
Don't rush to the mailbox. And prepare to be underwhelmed.

The whole reason why they have a soft stand on child abuse is because they want to avoid the possibility of being sued for compensations something that fortunately they didn't totally succeed in and at last lost a good deal of money over it.
