I think the best response is the same one you give junk mail. Delete it, unread. Then you won't get mad.
Some of the cleaning-crew hijinks are hilarious. I've always thought slipping small candies in the nooks and crannies for the children would be fun. Use hard candies that won't deteriorate or go bad. I've thought of candy canes, valentine hearts, and hard candy easter eggs.
