Why alaways the 2nd or "Greater" fulfillment of prophecy?

Not only is the "Greater Fulfillment" always about the Tower, but it is often very confusing. Like many of the different agreements between God and other Bible characters and the Urim and the Thummin, these "Greater Fulfillments" are intended to mislead the regular members into thinking they do not know the Bible except through the Governing Body.

To me, those Greater Fulfillments are all non-sequitors. Just because there is a pattern set by people in Noah's day, why does that pattern have to repeat this time? And what about the destruction of the Jewish system in 70 ADCE? Does that have to follow the same pattern that this time does? And what's to say that this isn't yet another "minor fulfillment" of something that is going to happen 10,000 years or more in the future? We simply do not know, and there is no way to verify it.

A prime example was the Stock Market Crash of 1929. That led to the Great Depression of the 1930s. So, when the stock market crashed again in 1987, people assumed that there would be another Great Depression. Did we get one in the 1990s, or in 1988 and 1989? No. In fact, we saw a relatively stable economy during that period. We got a minor recession in 1990, but then again we had the first Gulf War in early 1991. But no Great Depression comparable to 1929 and the 1930s.

Or, the stock market behavior on Oct 13, 1989. Everyone assumed that we were looking at another 1987-style stock market crash the following Monday. But we didn't get one. The market was shaken a bit, but it stablilzed until the Iraq situation created another bear market. No crash.

I think the same thing is due the world and its system of things as with the stock market. As we saw no Great Depression following the Stock Market Crash of 1987, we will see no end of this system of things following what the Tower proclaims as the Greater Fulfillment. So what if the nations achieve peace and security? That doesn't mean Armageddon, any more than the Stock Market Crash of 1987 meant the Great Depression of the 1990s (which didn't happen). They can use all these non-sequitors to scare me back into that Tower of Refuse, but I'm not going back in.
