They spend $110 MILLION on what? They do no charitable work at all. They do not help the needy, feed the poor, sustain the widow. They
have no ministry for the sick, no clinics for children. Nothing.
Where is the money going? Perhaps defending lawsuits is the true answer after all.

I will tell you what I think they spend $110 million a year on. Printing up the wastes of trees that make the rags we know as the Craptower and Asleep. Defending pedophiles within the ranks. Trying to shut down discussion boards and apostate Web sites with different viewpoints from their own. Building Kingdumb Hells (they need seed money to lend out so that they can get it back and then get back anything that comes from sales of these atrocious wastes of land). Getting missionaries to Nigeria so they can drive the organization above 7 million (yes, they have to pay those people a tiny amount of money). Getting missionaries to China and Bangladesh so they can get the membership to 8 and then 9 million. The tiny stipends that Bethelites and special pioneers make.
Now what do they do with the other $840 million that they make in a year?

Nicely written WT Wizard. I needed a good laugh today.
I remember trying to wear my suits until they absolutely had to be cleaned.
The funniest thing you said was about the changing shirt color requirements. You must have been around awhile to remember that one. ROFLMAO.

Yup, I was around when they changed to white dress shirts. I had a light yellow shirt with a tan suit, and they wanted it gone. The yellow shirt was in good condition, and I had it about 2 years before they changed the rules.
Notably, the white shirts need more frequent cleanings. Blue and yellow shirts hide common stains better than pure white. The only thing I like about white shirts is that they pretty much go well with anything. However, there should be no rule about it since blue/blue, light green/blue, yellow/brown, and yellow/tan go well too.
I also wore my suits until they needed cleaning to cut back on costs and pollution. But I often got hounded to clean them once a week or more. That is, until I decided to start fading. Then they were only thinking about getting me to start going back to the meetings.

Oddly enough, this appears to be the one weak link in our research facilities here on JWD. The Kingdom Ministry publication, the one used at the Service Meetings. We used to have a guy, as I recall, who kept us up to date with the programme, and who scanned them regularly.
Dunno what happened to him, but I reckon we need a "Service Meeting Overseer", same as we have a WT Study conductor [Blondie] and a Theocratic School Instructor [Leolaia]
So, step right up guys. The hours are long and the pay lousy [pay? what pay?] but we need ya.
Cheers

Hi MoggyLover!
I do remember someone posting the KM material at one time. Good suggestion. Many would benefit from it.

I like that piece of manipulation "jehovah will be grateful", how they use religion to make money, the fearsome and vindictive jehovah jehovah now needs their donations.
The will say they spend that $110 million to support missionaries and special pioneers around the world. Who knows what their economy is like since they are very secretive about it? No one should trust them on this plea they are a multibillion corporation why should the poor rank and file support them? It should be the other way round.

Having enslaved their members to serve their interests, while never expressing any gratitude for their toils, they also demand money from them as if they haven't got enough. How greedy can they get? They even threw out so many people for seeking to make constructive criticisms to improve things despite the work and money they devoted to the cult.

I have never paid more than $150 for a suit in all my life and never will.
Yeah, now come on guys. This was JW stuff, not cocktail party stuff or
corporate lawyer wear. You can do your JW stuff in decent $150 suits.
You can dry clean a suit less often in the colder months by wearing it for
just the meeting then hanging it for a week or more before wearing it.
You need more than just a few suits, but you can save money this way.I liked to wear washable pants and a sportcoat (when not on the platform)
then I could wash and iron for myself. Shoes- I had to get new ones
fairly regularly, but that's just me.By doing all this, the dry-cleaning bill for two of us was about $1000 a year
and JW clothing replacements was under $400 a year (except for the shoes
and socks and gloves which was about $150- $200 a year for two of us)Bookbags lasted several years, and I learned to get decent canvas ones that
held up better than leather. They were about $20 apiece.Shirts- well I just never really wore white ones, they didn't last as long as the
darker colors.Extravagance is why there isn't enough funds in the worldwide work fund to
cover many Bethelites, 4 magazines a month, and sexual abuse settlements.
No wonder they have to sell all the buildings in Brooklyn. You guys tried to
look too good. When I stepped aside as elder, but before I quit going to meetings, I would wear
dockers, button-up shirts that weren't dressy, and loud ties that I stopped replacing
years ago. My shoes would be fairly casual, but nice. If it were colder, I would
wear a regular jacket, not a suit or sportcoat but a casual jacket. All the elders
noticed that, but wouldn't dare say anything to me. I did wear a suit for the memorial,
but I was out-of-town, no need to make a point.
