hi notaness i totally agree with you i have only recently become a ex witness after being one for 36 years, .

I firmly still believe in god but would not join another religion . i still have many things in my head i have to untangle from associating with being with that organization all those years , .

I had to leave because of the total lack of love shown me, tiered of trying to talk to elders and fellow so called christians who had blind eyes and deaf ears.

It's a wonder that we aren't all cracked up! The things that we've been through because of that religion! I'm glad you hung in and are still hanging in! I'm the mother of twins too, but they're not babies anymore. Take care of your beautiful children and forget about those witnesses. You've done nothing wrong. Just got taken for a bad ride!

    Wishing you all the best!

Hi Brandy, and welcome to the forum

Hi Brandy! Welcome ! I could feel your pain and anxiety as I read your story. There are two books that I have in my library that have helped me over the years when I felt an anxiety attack coming on. 1) Hope and Help For Your Nerves: Dr. Claire Weeks. 2) Anxiety & Panic Attacks, their cause and cure: Robert Handly with Pauline Neff.

Your twins are beautiful. My daughter in - law lost one twin, one survived, he will be three years old this Sept. The pain of loss and emotional, physical and mental abuse lingers and comes and goes over the years. I served for 33 years and am out for five years now.

This forum has been a great help in knowing that we are not alone. It is like having a Doctor on call 24/7. Looking forward to your many contributions to come. Try and enjoy one day at a time with your twins.

welcome motherof2, wow twins. my grandma on my dad's side was a twin, I hope i don't have any, im too lazy!

it's a real shame that a religion that tell us all how loving it is, is in fact so unloving as to make it's members feel unworthy of life in general.

welcome to the board, there's all sorts here.

    Hallo Brandy,

I´m new here too-I had ben lurking for a long time before I found the courage to write....

It´s a fantastic place to find healing and inspiration...

By the way, I have twins too-they are grown up now but I remember how it was when they were small...double work and double joy! I´m so happy for you and your kids that you can now enjoy birthday partys,x-mas and so...My boys were not that lucky and I always feel bad about that.
