yes, that is a real problem. Any time folks are generous with money, someone will come along to abuse the generosity. I think that for the most part we shouldn't do that except on an individual, on-to-one basis. You can pm someone you'd like to help, to get some contact info. Much better that way - and it is easy.
I agree with pretty much all that's said here...only thing is, some people have a hard time accepting help, even when sincerely offered. Asking them to agree to participate in arranging to receive the help may be aking something that is much harder for some people to do than you might think.... It is all very wonderful and considerate of everyone to consider...just be aware that some people need help with knowing it's okay to receive help (especially financially) AS WELL AS the financial help that you are offering. Helping someone with that might be even the bigger challenge to figure out than the logistics of the exchange itself. Creativity is a good thing...so good luck with figuring it all out!
Dear Friends,
As a grateful recipient of others' kindness and generosity, I can attest to the viability of what restrangled has suggested. By means of a PM, information can be exchanged when two participating parties are ready to do so. I have felt and experienced more genuine trust and unconditional love here than in many flesh-and-blood encounters wherein I was sold down the river.
Love knows no boundaries. 'What is essential is invisible to the eye; one sees only with the heart.' [Paraphrase from LE PETIT PRINCE.]
