  She says the best way to be heard is to email Helen directly. I conveyed to her that I'm an avid campaign emailer and that many replies are 'auto-bot replies' and that it's difficult and frustrating not knowing if the recipient actually received/ read the mail. "It's why I prefer to call if a number is provided, like yours".

  She said to email her and she will make sure Helen is duly aware. I shared with her that I thought Helen did a terrific job on the Mormons and that PBS just did the JW docu. I stressed that a counter-docu MUST be made FOR THE PUBLIC TO BE FULLY INFORMED ON ALL SIDES OF "POLICY-ISSUES' within the Watchtower Organization. That is is long overdue and too many families have been torn apart and too many young lives ruined. Not to mention the misrepresentation of it's most controversial and deadly policy of "no-blood". I told her of the recent settlements as well.

  I urge many others to contact one of the two agents representing Helen and stress the importance of interviewing JOEL ENGARDIO and also the Governing Body of Watchtower.

  I wouldn't worry about a counter documentary being labled as "apostate" by "them". It's the millions of future suckers, that you're trying to warn and expose to them, the faults and misleadings of the WTS, and the abuses. That's what's important. Cutting off their supply of future borg.

  I really don't understand why there is so much anger toward this film. (I can understand anger toward the WTS) Maybe your expatations were too high. I think the director just meant for this to be a "sllice of life" type documentary not an expose'.

  Are you kidding? The entire thing was nothing but propaganda trying to portray the Watchtower Organization as a victim in the big bad world, without mentioning all the horror that goes on. No mention of those who have died needlessly from the 'no blood' ban, no mention of the mental and emotional abuse from those who are DF'd and cut off from family members for simply questioning a bizarre doctrine that can always change down the road. No mention of the physical abuse and sexual abuse that they've tried to hush up, or the fact that entire generations got screwed out of their pensions, an education or even having a family due to the f**ked up rules of this cult.

  And you wonder why there's so much anger? Saying that this film gives an accurate portrayal of the Watchtower Society is like saying that Hogan's Heroes is the authority on the Holocaust.

  That is my point. I don't think anyone said this film was meant to give an accurate portrayal of the Watchtower Society. Most of the film was spent following individuals as they told their stories from thier own perspective. That is an acceptable way to make a film. In no way was the film meant to be a comprehensive study of the Watchtower Society. I think that is what some of you were expecting and that's why you are dissapointed and angry.

  You have to know that the overall presentation was going to add up in favor of JW's otherwise you wouldn't have had so much cooperation from the JW leaders. On the other hand the negative programs that are circulated among "born-agains" are more like testimonials for their new found religion than an honest expose' of JW's.

  The best information about JW's are the web sites that quote JW publications. And JW's fight that.

  In fact, one of the best documentaries would be on how JW's try to shut people down using their big corporate war chests and legal departments.

The blood issue kills more people than Jonestown every month, many of them children, that's also why it pissed me off, it's "gentle" and "Scientific" aspects. It's neither, it''s a brutal, painful way to die. Plus? Twenty years ago that guy could'nt even have gotten a liver transplant, according to JW tenets. Plus? It was narrated by that Hypocrite Terrence Howard, lead in a violent, vulgar and criminally irresponsible film "Hustle and flow". He was a witness when he did that too.

And on the other story you said at the beginning......well, I am again so sorry. Yes, I have heard that the film could not be watched without making one sick....not with stories like yours out there.
