Sass, I think your reply was just great! I'm sorry to say this, but your mum sounds toxic. No wonder you want to be far away.

I'm worried about the young mother. She will be at risk for serious health issues for some time.

I'm worried about her too, deeply. It's possible that mum and my sister (who passed on the message re 3L of blood loss) got it wrong, and meant 3 pints, who knows. They possibly also exaggerated the amount of blood loss. The only thing I'm sure of is that they will be cheerfully ignoring how unhealthy and weak she is now, and just giving her the old thumbs up. It's appalling.

It always amazes me how they are soooo hurt, sooo devastated, hearts torn apart that a loved one left them and Jehovah!!! Makes me mad.

They act as though the person killed someone or tortured someone to death. Instead of the simple fact that they chose not to believe in a cult!!! WTF!!!!

They are the ones that kicked you out of their lives, not the other way around!!!!! UGH!!~!!

I have much to tell you too, my beautiful baby girl left us and Jehovah just over a week now and hubby and I are devastated

    (((((((sassy))))))))

    Did she become a Wiccan?

Oooops. She must have left the Watchtower !!!!

I almost forgot that the dubs are so braindead they really believe a person leaves God if he/she escapes from the Watchtower cage.

Sass-I´m so sorry to read this-it makes me very sad and very angry at the same time. How they can speak of love is a riddle to me.

Statistics show that there is a big chance that this beloved baby will leave the org.at some point. Then they´ll just turn off the "love" and start "suffering"

To me it´s like someone who deliberately hits himself on the fingers with a hammer and then blames the fingers for hurting.

    Crazy people!

Wishing you all the best -

    Mathilde

On the one hand, this exchange is a perfect example of warped, delusional Watchtower-think.

On the other hand, this exchange must have been so painful for you. My heart goes out to you. I also want to add my "atta-girl" to the mix, for your decision to act like the healthy person you are becoming was just awe-inspiring.

    Bless your heart.

Good response, Sass. Amazing how they turn everything around to justify their despicable treatment of family. The Watchtower motto: "If we ain't the pot calling the kettle black!" flipper

    Hey there Sass,

Good onya for taking the high road by not even acknowledging their warped worldview. The more you respond like a normal human being, perhaps the more they'll see that there is life after the Borg.

Well put. They are not just upset about the 'rejection' of the leaver though, they are probably more upset that the leaver will not survive armageddon. They wouldn't be able to separate the two causes and reason on either of them.
