Is this the actual change you are asking about or it's just an example of you think might be one of the changes? Could you be more specific about the rumors?

Just on a purely speculative trip in my own mind, I can see major changes coming in policy and procedures, at least in the United States. Currently the Society is responsible for the actions of the elders (and quite probably, ministerial servants and maybe pioneers, as well).
I think the Watch Tower Society is like ATT&T. It's too big and too tied together. It's gotta be split up. None of the established and assumed firewalls held in the recent test. If it's firewalls don't hold, the corporation can't survive.
I think we'll see Watch Tower restructuring in the near future that'll make the restructuring of 2000 look like nothing happened. There might be a danger to them in the respect that if they know of legal cases filed or about to be filed, they could face "transfer with intent to defraud" charges if the transfers aren't done just right.
Before they can restructure, they might have to set aside assets to pay future claims. My best guess right now is they can't decide what to do. We know they will have to have a purge and it'll have to be high. That way they'll have a fall guy(s) set up for the gossip mill crowd and to make ready answers for the Service Department Desk.
These losses and claims paid can't be kept a secret and they can't be allowed to continue. And for now, they can't be stopped. They're in a corner. -

Hi Garybuss, you are correct. There are changes afoot. There is a new elder's book being written now. I don't know how it will differ from the present Pay Attention book or when it will be released.
Gary, I am reading your Armageddon Oakie series on Freeminds and I must say that it is absolutely hysterical.
Thanks so much for the good laughs! You are one funny guy!

This is mere speculation on my part, but I think that the WT will sneak in an approach to more glorification to the Governing Body. Between May 1st QFR basically saying that no one in the FDS is special and the trend that i've already seen that mentions the Governing Body for everything, I think this will be implemented more in more in the coming year.

Gary,
Every since I have left the Org. I have predicted the Society would start allowing everyone to partake of the "emblems" at thier bastardized Lord's Supper.
It would go like this:
The 144,00 are taken out of the tribes.
The Society will identify the tribes as the Israel of God.
Since the 144,000 are a small percent of the tribes, the tribes include both classes.
Both classes, because they are a part of the Israel of God, will be under the New Covenant.
Since they are all in the New Covenant, all, both classes, will partake.
Thoughts?

A new elders' manual seems reasonable. Hasn't it been 25 years since the last version was printed? So many new elders have incomplete information since so much is written in the margins re BOE letters and comments from COs and DOs. Could you imagine being at the KH and people having different info other than what was in the older Bible manuscripts.....I guess we can.
