I'm sitting here, typing with my left hand, because asleep in my right hand is a little mouse! Found the poor thing in the driveway, it almost looked like it had a stroke, it seemed to be dragging it's left side, flopping around trying to move towards the grass. I didn't want the dogs to get it, so went and got my gloves, and scooped the poor thing up. I was going to just put it in the grass, but I have to cut it, and the thought of maybe running it over was too much! Then the exhausted little thing snuggled up and went to sleep! So, I think, for now, I'll put him in one of my unused aquariums, cut the grass, put him in a protected spot, and let nature take it's course.

I did the same thing as you. My cats got one, and i felt bad for it, so i put it in an empty tank. By the next morning it was on its back with his feet straight up in the air.........

You seem to be used to holding them small critters BB

Gee, If I just see a frog in the lawn or on the sidewalk when I take a walk, I'll cross the street. I hate reptiles, let it be snakes, or frogs, yuck.

Some people have lizards at home.... Never ever would i get 10 feet from it.

Maybe you could put some food and water (NO - not to drown it lol!!) in the aquarium with the mouse - unless it is clearly dragging one of its legs it might be just weak and tired? Small animals need to feed often.

At least you'd have given it the option of one last meal too!

...well there is that saying..."What do you mean 'we' do you have a mouse in your pocket?"...so if you put him in your pocket...

I know someone who had a pet snake, and he bought rats to feed it every month. (Sorry JH! ) Well one month he bought a rat, and put it in with the snake. The next day the snake had died (natural causes) and the rat was still alive and well. So he kept the rat as a pet instead... he named the rat DinDin.

Sad Emo - I will put a little dish of water and maybe some p/b - he's still sleeping away.

Unconfused - sorry - no pockets in these pants.

    GGG - DinDin! Too funny!!

aww, that is so very kind hearted of you. Good luck. He may have been attacked by a cat or dog already. They usually shake them in their mouth to break their neck so if that happened and he escaped, he may have spinal damage.
